The idea behind Gallery of Mo is simple – you upload a photo (it could be you, a friend, even your dog!) and one of our talented artists creates a portrait with the addition of a fancy moustache. Of course there are a few choices you have to make along the way, so let the following graphic explain the whole procedure to you – just click on the question marks to get information on every stage of the process.
We'll give you some guidelines on the photos that will work best, but keep in mind that the clearer the subject, the more our artist will have to work with. Please note that no photos will be displayed on the site, only finished portraits.
If you’re not bothered about which artist creates your portrait, or you just want it to be a surprise, then this is the option for you. We'll randomly allocate an artist to your portrait and they'll spend 1 minute drawing you for every pound that you donate. All of our artists have their own unique style so you never know exactly what's going to come back!
Look at examples of the different artists work and choose one that tickles your fancy. There is a minimum donation amount for each artist so make sure that you pick one that you can afford!
Once we've got your details and your photo we'll send you a confirmation email with a summary of your order. This email will contain the link to the donation page, so don't delete it! Work won’t start on your portrait until you have donated the required amount through this link so it's in your interest to donate as soon as possible.
The donation process takes place through Movember's secure servers so that you know that every penny we raise will go straight to them. You can pay online by x, x, or x.
Once we have confirmation of your donation the artist will get to work on your portrait. Please note that there may be a high demand for artists so the picture may take up to 2 weeks to be completed.
we'll send you an email once your portrait is finished and in the gallery. You'll be able to save a copy to your hard drive, send it to your friends via twitter or put it on your Facebook page. Everyone will be able to admire a stunning work of moustache art and know that you have helped contribute to men's health charities.
